Introduction

A harmonic filtering device consists of filter capacitors, harmonic reactors, Q-factor regulators, electronic switching devices, and protection systems including over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection.

The capacitance of the capacitors in the harmonic filtering device is designed based on the fundamental frequency and the reactive power compensation required by the system. The selection of inductance in the LC circuit is based on enabling series resonance with the capacitor at a specific harmonic frequency, so that the resonant filtering device presents extremely low impedance at that harmonic frequency. As a result, most of the harmonic current flows into the harmonic filtering device instead of passing through the main transformer.

The harmonic filtering device can automatically start and stop according to load switching conditions and provides display of up to 11 electrical parameters. It is custom-designed according to customer requirements to ensure optimal harmonic filtering performance and reactive power compensation characteristics, while improving load efficiency and achieving better investment returns.
